Completely rebuilt from the ground up in 2017, Meroe is the pride of Nour El Nil, offering guests the most spacious cabins, a large salon and a deck that provides ample space for everyone to enjoy their privacy or to mingle with one another. Day 1: Monday : Esna
Upon your arrival at Luxor airport or train station, a warm welcome awaits you from your tour manager from Luxor And Aswan Tours. Your adventure begins in Esna, a vibrant merchant town renowned for the ancient Temple of Khnum, nestled 9 meters below the contemporary street level. Your exploration starts with a leisurely walk to this hidden gem, followed by a stroll through Esna’s bustling streets, alive with colorful textiles and exotic goods. The day culminates in an overnight stay aboard your Nile boat in Esna, setting the stage for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Tuesday : El Kab & Edfu
As dawn breaks, your Nile boat sails towards El Kab, the ancient capital of Upper Egypt, now a tranquil haven that houses the temple of Nekhbet and a series of intricately decorated tombs. A scenic walk through a quaint fishermen village leads you to this remarkable necropolis. By afternoon, you arrive at Edfu, home to the exceptionally preserved Greco-Roman Temple of Horus. A traditional horse and carriage ride escorts you through the lively streets to the temple. The day’s journey concludes with a serene sail towards a picturesque island.

Day 3: Wednesday : Sail & Swim
This day is dedicated to the majestic Nile River. After an optional morning walk and breakfast, you set sail, embracing the tranquility of the river. An afternoon stop at an island offers a chance for a leisurely stroll or a refreshing swim in the Nile's nurturing waters. As evening approaches, an opportunity arises to explore the desert, where ancient hieroglyphs and stone-age inscriptions hint at a time when this was the gateway to a 28-day journey through the desert to Libya. The night is spent moored at the foot of the illuminated temple of Gebel Silsileh.

Day 4: Thursday : Gebel Silsileh
Gebel Silsileh, where the Nile runs narrowest between two mountain ranges, offers an exclusive visit to a rarely explored gem. The day includes a visit to Horemheb's small temple and the ancient sandstone quarries. A stop at a picturesque café allows you to enjoy traditional tea and shisha. The journey continues with a sail to a scenic riverbank, perfect for lunch and swimming in the river’s embrace.

Day 5: Friday : Kom Ombo
Waking up on the water, you’ll head to Kom Ombo, where the temple stands majestically on a river bend. The visit extends to the new Crocodile Museum, showcasing mummified crocodiles that highlight the creature's significance in ancient times.
